National Amusements to Bring Cinema De Lux to Chestnut Hill Shopping Center
Press Release - May 18, 2012

(May 18, 2012; Chestnut Hill, MA)--Moviegoers will soon be able to experience the next level of movie theatres as National Amusements announced plans to open a six-screen Cinema de Lux at the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center in March of 2013. The Cinema de Lux will feature an overall luxurious experience including high-end, full service restaurant, premium reserved seating and upscale, in-theatre, at-your-seat dining throughout the entire complex.

"We're looking forward to bringing an unparalleled movie going and dining experience to Chestnut Hill," said Shari Redstone, President of National Amusements. "We are thrilled once again to work with WS Development, a great partnership that has proven very successful."

The cinema complex will be developed at the former Macy's site, utilizing over 40,000-square-feet and including a yet-to-be-announced restaurateur. The theatre lobby will also include a full bar and lounge featuring a menu of specialty foods and innovative signature cocktails.

"We're excited to continue our partnership with National Amusements and are pleased to welcome Cinema de Lux to the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center," said Jeremy Sclar, President, WS Development. "The state-of-the-art cinema will bring a dynamic new dimension to our project, further contributing to the transformation of this iconic property in the heart of Chestnut Hill."

National Amusements and WS Development are joint venture partners at Legacy Place (Dedham, MA), which features Showcase Cinema de Lux. In addition, National Amusements operates Cinema de Lux at The Shoppes at Blackstone Valley (Millbury, MA), a WS Development property.

The addition of Cinema de Lux is part of a major redevelopment at the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, which will expand to 406,000-square-feet. The Sports Club/LA and Shake Shack, along with and other best-in-class retailers and restaurants will begin opening early 2013.
